  • (Moming) The Zinalrothorn (4,221 m) is a mountain in the Pennine Alps in Switzerland. Its name comes from the village of Zinal lying on the north side and from the German word Rothorn which means Red Peak. When it was first climbed in 1864 the mountain was known locally as Moming.

  • One's mother

  • ma: informal terms for a mother

  • Mom is a fictional character in the animated series Futurama, voiced by Tress MacNeille. Mom is one of the show's two main antagonists, the other being Zapp Brannigan. However, unlike Brannigan - who is simply an idiotic, comic opera buffoon - Mom is much more threatening and Machiavellian.

he is seriously pondering joining the us air force..which is courageous and wonderful and a devotion that requires respect for keeping this country free.

when he does swear in, i will be there....absolutely devastated at my only child leaving me and ripping my heart completely out.......but so proud that i may burst with pride..but tears will be rollling down my face as they are now as i write this....

my wyatt.......i remember everything so vividly about him...his brown eyes that look like mine.......my little polite young man with the slight southern twang....his gentle hands that compose music and also works his gibson guitars to their very limits......i recall coming home from work and he is in there playing drums along to the likes of Pantera and Dream Theater.........i hear him in my sleep hey mom listen to the best group in the world..........and it changes daily with his music loves and dislikes.....i can feel my fingers in his long hair.....as it has grown and even during color changing.....it is brown as mine (well as mine once was)...ahem..

it is hard to believe my little eaglett will leave his nest......but his wings are strong
and his desire is wide and enduring.....and he is nearly ready to leap off the nest..

when he does leave his nest........daddy and momma eagle will watch as he flies higher and higher into the sky to find his own way......

when he does leave.......y-its-mom will be waving bye bye

Mom

This is my favourite Great Horned Owl family, whom I check on fairly regularly. I was so disappointed when I went to the park the other day, as there was no sign of Mom or the new baby in the nest. I could see that a lot more roadworks had been going on in the area, including the small road that passes immediately below their nest. My concern was that the owls had finally been forced to move. I wandered through the grove of trees to see if there was any sign of Dad, who always sits in a tree keeping watch over the nearby nest. There he was and then I suddenly noticed Mom sitting two trees away. I raised my eyes almost to the top of the VERY tall tree she was sitting in - and there was the new baby! I would guess that maybe the baby has only been flying for a couple of days. These are NOT my best owl photos, LOL, but I wanted an up-to-date photo of each owl for my own record. Note: Dad seems to be contentedly sleeping, while Mom is wide awake and making sure that the new addition to the family was safe! I always wonder where their young one from last year moved on to. I guess they never return "home" to visit once they have moved on?
